I'm a George Eliot - Thomas Hardy - John Fowles man myself but my wife Dr Helen Black the world expert on the music & culture of Fiji is an engrossed Janeite on page & film. Would love to buy her an advance copy for her birthday on 19 May in Australia but am getting no response from your Aussie distributors for June.

I lived in Hardy's house, walked the walks, pruned his apple trees!, worked on & discovered new poems. He wasn't the Greatest Novelist but he remains the finest poet the English speaking peoples have know in 200 years.
